| Initial Lesson |
Swing changes at 6 months. |
In the initial sequence, the ball is a little
forward and his hands a little back. His posture is relatively
good. In the 6th month sequence, the ball is in the middle
of his stance with his hands slightly ahead.. |
You can see he is swinging the club around
his body instead of keeping his arms and hands in front
of his body. From this angle you can still see that in
the initial sequence the club is around him while in the
6th month sequence the club is parallel to the target
line. |
In the initial sequence he has lifted the
club up in an attempt to get it into position for the
downswing because his arms were to far around him early
in the backswing. In the 6th month sequence, he is on
plane with his arms in front of him. |
In the initial sequence, you can see his
backswing is to long, and the club is pointed right of
the target (across the line). This position the club is
very steep and would have to flatten on the way down.
In the 6th month sequence, you can see the club has stopped
parallel to the ground with his arms wide more in front
of his body. |
In the initial sequence, he has the club
from the outside with clubface closed. In the 6th month
sequence, the club is coming down on plane (from the inside),
with the club face square and his shoulders are back. |
In the initial sequence, you can see how
open the club face is after impact. He has actually reverse
rotated his hands coming into the impact area. In the
6th month sequence, it is hard to tell from this photo,
but the club face has been rotated from open to square
to the target line and his hands are still ahead of the
club at impact. |
In the initial sequence, you can see that
his club face is still open well past impact. In the 6th
month sequence, you can see that the club face has now
been rotated closed through the impact area. |

Now this is a big finish! |
